Happy Christmas to one and all from Drip Dry Productions. 2017 has been an absolutely marvellous year! We have come a really
long way with the studio at Chime in terms of developing the acoustics, designing a dedicated vocal booth and new live space, building up the equipment and recording some amazing artists such as The Baby Seals, Koxe, Walking On Mercury, John Taylor, Mr. Zed, Chloe Harrison, Thomas Dunleavey and many more.  2018 promises to be an even more magically musical year.  See you on the flip-side people...

Walking On Mercury Release "Aphelion"

We have just finished recording Cambridgeshire based indie rock band Walking On Mercury's debut E.P "Aphelion".  The band spent 2 full days in the studio @chimecentre tracking 5 songs (2-6 o the E.P) for their first extended release.  We also helped the band with mastering and distributing it to all of the major online distribution channels.  Great fun had by all and a great sound achieved, they are an awesome bunch of guys and were fantastic to work with.  Why not take a look at the band's Facebook page to see what their up to, plenty of gigs coming up! @walkingonmercuryofficial

New single from John Moore

It's Election Day! Woohoo... I've been to vote, have you??  What a fitting time to introduce a fitting song from an excellent gentleman, Mr John Moore.  John was one of the the first ever people I recorded back at the Glass Onion around 2006 back when I did not know what the heck I was doing in a recording studio.  Well he still made it all sound great.  This his latest single, "Hows That?" which conveys a very poignant message to all of humanity.  Please give it a listen and support local musical artists. New Soft Synth, Based On Classic Circuit Bending Concepts

Developer Mayank Sanganeria has released bent.fm – a full FM model of a circuit-bent synthesizer.

bent.fm allows the user to tweak classic circuit bending modifications like fine and octave-decimated clock bends, and experiment with more esoteric bends.

Sanganeria says that bent.fm is ‘for anyone interested in circuit bending, glitch sounds, industrial music, and post-procedural art.’

Circuit-bent distortions and algorithmic sequences can be created by (im)proper connections on the bend matrix. Reroute digital serial information through the base chip set (a numerically controlled oscillator) and extra logic gates (NAND and XOR, binary counters), and experience architecture-level bit crushing.

Audiobus and IAA are supported, but the app store specs make no mention of MIDI.

bent.fm is available for US $3.99 in the App Store.

Come Along To The Courtyard Festival Aug 1st

Together with Circles Network, Peterborough FM and another local business, Just Painters Ltd. Beat This are hosting a Community Festival at the Courtyard for one day on SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST from 12PM – 6PM.  

You definitely need to be there if you wish to have your face painted, experience using state of the art Music Technology, see a horse jumping, have your hair dreaded, buy a book or three, have a massage, sing out loud or eat some very fine home cooked food! Need we say anymore?

Chime Creation Centre's door will be open to those wanting to explore
